So today is the last Comics Vault Live. THE SERIES FINALE!!

Well, it’s the last CVL that I’m a part of. I don’t know if Skybound will do more. If not, it’s been one hell of a ride.

January 2020.

The first show was just a proof of concept. Let’s see if we can sell some collectibles directly to our fans. And it worked!

So we did another in Feb. So far so good.

Then another in March.

March 2020? What happened in March 2020???

A FREAKING PANDEMIC!!!

And that’s when CVL started to take off! With everyone at home looking for something else to focus on, CVL was a good escape. And, with nowhere to spend that disposable income, why not buy some cool books??

So we dug up rare books from the warehouse. Found a way to get signed books from Robert Kirkham while respecting our bubbles. Produced variants with Image and Boom Studios! Anchored a bunch of Skybound XPOs. Became the first seller of comics on Whatnot. So many cool things!

But the best thing to me was building on the connections with our fans.

One of the things I loved about working at Skybound was going to convetions and meeting fans. Being able to chat with like minded folks about stuff we loved, was the absolute best!

And without in person conventions, we had an alternative from the comfort of our homes.

The connections I was able to make with so many of you over the past 3 years has been very special to me. I appreciate every single person who tuned in for an episode of CVL, whether you bought something or not.
